One major change fans will notice—Bobby Hill isn’t a middle schooler anymore. He’s living in Dallas, following his dream of becoming a chef and loving his 20s.

Bobby Hill Is All Grown Up Now

After working a propane job in Saudi Arabia, Hank and Peggy Hill return to Arlen to reconnect with old friends like Boomhauer, Dale, and Bill. Texas never forgets.

The show opens with the original theme by The Refreshments and a brilliant time-lapse showing the Hills moving out, aging, and eventually returning to their beloved home.

Most of the original cast returns, including Mike Judge, Pamela Adlon, and Kathy Najimy. Sadly, Johnny Hardwick passed in 2023; Toby Huss completes Dale’s voice work.

Expect fresh challenges in a modern Arlen. New technology, culture shifts, and returning neighbors set the stage for stories that blend humor with heartfelt moments.

Bobby isn’t alone in adulthood. His old friends Connie, Joseph, and Chane are part of the story, adding layers of nostalgia and new comedic dynamics to the series.

Saladin Patterson joins the revival as showrunner, collaborating with creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels to honor the original while exploring modern storytelling directions.

Produced by 20th Television Animation, this revival ensures quality visuals and humor fans expect—updated animation, same heart. The classic style is polished, not reinvented.

Don't miss the return of one of America’s most beloved animated families. King of the Hill season 14 debuts August 4 on Hulu with ten brand-new episodes.
